Will this fix a sideways photo from my phone?
Yes. Phone photos are often stored upright with only a metadata flag marking which way is "up" — if an app or website ignores that flag, the photo displays sideways. This tool rotates the actual pixels, producing a file that displays correctly everywhere, regardless of whether the viewer respects that flag.
Can I rotate by an angle other than 90°?
Not in this tool. Only 90°, 180°, and 270° rotations are supported, because those are the only angles that don't require resampling — any other angle would introduce a small quality change to fit pixels into a new grid.
Also consider: If file size matters, consider AVIF (works in all current browsers) or JPEG XL (lacks widespread support) — both achieve noticeably smaller files at the same quality.
