About this conversion

WebP is a modern format developed by Google that produces smaller files than JPEG at the same quality, and is supported by all current browsers. TIFF keeps every pixel exactly, so the conversion itself adds no further change, and the TIFF is compressed without touching a single pixel, so it stays exact but is still larger than a PNG of the same image.

Common questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
Will converting to TIFF reduce quality?
No. TIFF keeps every pixel exactly as it was — there is no quality loss from the conversion itself. Any quality reduction that already existed in the WebP source will remain, but the conversion adds nothing further.

Also consider: PNG gives the same pixel-perfect accuracy and is easier to open outside professional software — TIFF is mainly worth choosing when a print, scanning, or archival workflow specifically asks for it.
